Hyd to be healthcare hub: Rajaiah

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Medical and Health Minister Dr Rajaiah today vowed to develop Hyderabad into a global health hub and medical destination. Addressing in a valedictory function of a three-day Indo-Global Healthcare Summit and Expo 2014 at Taj Krishna Hotel here.
The minister said that the TRS Government has begun efforts in that direction. Giving away healthcare excellence awards to a few Hospitals he asked the medical fraternity to focus on providing the best medical care services to poor and deprived classes. The Government will see that all its hospitals will get sophisticated equipment and facilities and staff including doctors and specialists, he said that the profession is pious and one has to shoulder greater responsibility to cater to the changing health needs at affordable costs. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has extended congratulations to the event and expected it to come up with suitable recommendations that will prove handy to improve healthcare facilities in government hospitals, Rajaiah said. Reiterating to provide costly medical facilities at each door step of people, he said that the government will initiate stringent measures against the culprits involved in NIMS case. (NSS)
