A 27-year-old woman committed suicide after learning that her husband performed the second marriage after her arrest in some case.
According to Banjara Hills police, Lakshmi Devi took the extreme by consuming some unknown poison on October 2. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she succumbed on Tuesday night. Enquiries by the police revealed that Lakshmi Devi had a love marriage with one Srikanth in 2006. She was arrested in some case and was sent to prison as under trail recently. She was released on bail in April 2014. She was living with her father Anjaiah in Swami Vivekananda Nagar of Banjara Hills since her release from jail.
Meanwhile, Lakshmi recently learned that her husband Srikanth had performed a second marriage while she was in jail. Upset over the development, she resorted to the extreme step, police said. (INN)
