A 28-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by her husband.
According to Rajendra Nagar police, the deceased, B Lavanya was married to one Pandu of Weaker Sections Colony of Shivarampally about 11 years ago and the couple had one son. However, Pandu used to harass Lavanya on regular basis. On Saturday night Pandu came home in an inebriated condition and beat her up. Depress with the continuous harassment, she resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling.
Rajendra Nagar police registered a case of Abetment for Suicide under Section 306 IPC against Lavanya’s husband Pandu and began investigations. (INN)
