Unbelieving his wife’s trustworthiness, a man killed her at their residence in Ali Nagar, Errakunta, in Pahadishareef, late at Thursday night.
The accused who came back from Saudi Arabia, had frequent arguments with his wife. On Thursday night, he came home fortified with sharp weapons and stabbed his wife.
The victim, Shaheen Begum, 35, was wedded to Abrar Ahmed, 40, a native of Uttar Pradesh, about fifteen years ago. Ahmed went to Saudi Arabia and worked as a mason for about four years and returned. Later on, they both stayed separately, but the quarrels continued.
According to D. Bhaskar Reddy, Inspector of police, Pahadishareef police station, on Thursday, around 10 pm, when Shaheen, her sister and children were said goodnight, Ahmed came home with knives and knocked the door. She opened and they had a heated argument.
Bhaskar Reddy said, Shaheen’s sister made an effort stopped Ahmed, but he attacked her too and she fled. Police registered a murder case and further investigation is on.
