Govt. of Telangana has started taking steps for cleaning Husain Sagar Lake. CM of Telangana, Mr. KCR has given his nod for this plan and decided not to allow any drainage water to fall into the lake. A separate nala will be constructed to divert waste water for which Rs. 58.96 crore have been sanctioned through GO Ms 60. Mr. Rao wants to convert Husain Sagar into picnic spot. In order to clean Husain Sagar, Kukatpally Nala will be diverted and a big nala will be constructed upto Khalasiguda. He has instructed the officials to start construction work immediately by calling for tenders.
