The Hurt Locker sweeps BAFTA Awards

New Delhi, February 22: Director Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker swept away BAFTA awards. The Hurt Locker bagged six awards to sweep the BAFTA Awards 2010.

The film won the BAFTA awards in following categories: Best Director, best cinematography, best sound, best original screenplay and best editing.

James Cameron’s epic motion picture ‘Avatar’ managed to get two awards, one for special visual effects category and second in the production design category. The movie was nominated in eight categories.

The Best Actor BAFTA award went to Colin Firth for his role in ‘A Single Man’ while Carey Mulligan bagged the best actress award for ‘An Education’.
