New York, March 08: A Rapist who attacked a woman while dressed as a pirate is being hunted by police in the UK, The Sun reports.
The man wore an eye-patch, striped trousers and blonde “Tina Turner-style” wig.
The victim, in her 40s, had agreed to let him walk her home after they got talking in a bar in Morecambe, Lancashire.
When they arrived the fiend attacked, police said.
Det Sgt Kevin Wright said: “It was a deeply traumatic experience for her.”
A CCTV image of the suspect was found and released by police, who also circulated a photofit after speaking to witnesses.
They have checked to see if the man had been spotted at an organized fancy dress party in the town.
Officers also spoke to hotel and guest house owners in the hope he might have been a visitor staying over.
A witness from the bar told cops he thought the man had a Polish accent.
Police were “keeping an open mind” about his nationality. The suspect struck early on New Year’s Day.
Police said he had on a “distinctive” wig and a “pirate eye-patch, striped trousers and a red jacket with dark-coloured shoulders”.
