Government is looking for a suitable officer for appointment on the post of Principal Secretary Minority Welfare. Chief Minister’s office sources informed that Kiran Kumar Reddy wants to deploy a dynamic and vibrant officer so that the increased budget for minority welfare could be properly utilized.
Since the minority welfare budget has been enhanced from Rs 489 crore to Rs. 1027 crore hence to ensure proper utilization of the quantum budget, chief minister wants to assign the duty to an officer belonging to minority community and who is well aware of minority issues. Sources revealed that names of senior IAS officer Mohammed Ali Raffath and Ahmed Nadeem are under consideration.
