Osmania University Teachers’ Association (OUTA) and N.G.O’s Association have demanded the vice chancellor and the Govt. to solve their long pending demands. The leaders of these unions have threatened to organize relay hunger strike in front of Arts College from today Dr. B. Manohar, Secretary, OUTA told that many representations have been made but so far no action has been taken. University authorities are deliberately avoiding to solve these problems, due to which the teachers and the N.G.O.’s are forced to resort the direct action.
He said that many posts are vacant and the University is not filling up those vacancies. This is affecting the teaching schedule. Dr. Manohar demanded to solve the problem of arrears of pay, filling up vacancies and enhancement of the age superannuation immediately. He requested the V.C. to resolve these matters are early as possible.
