Hundreds of pirated CDs of new movies including the Vijay-starrer ‘Thalaiva’, besides pornographic films, were today seized here and three persons arrested in this connection, police said.
CDs of the Surya-starrer ‘Singam-II’, ‘Mariyan’ and ‘Sonnal Puriyadu,’ were also recovered during a raid on a shop, Assistant Commissioner of Police Chandrasekaran said.
Some computers and two copying machines were seized.
‘Thalaiva’ was released in other places on Friday last barring Tamil Nadu and Puducherry where it was put off following threats received by some theatres.
