Humanitarian Gesture: Ayesha donates kidney to Devdas, Nirmala to MM Baig

A remarkable demonstration of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood was seen at Care hospital, when a Muslim woman saved the life of a Hindu by donating her kidney. At the same time a Hindu woman donated her kidney for a Muslim man and both the lives were saved.

The rare kidney transplanted at Care hospital was successful. This was the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh.

As per the details two patients Mr. M M Baig and Mr. Devi Das were suffering from kidney ailment. 50 year old M M Baig’s blood group was B+ while the blood group of his wife Ayesha Baig who wanted to give her kidney to her husband was A+ve. Hence the transplantation could not be done.

Similarly another man Devi Das (44) was also suffering from kidney failure and was on dialysis and his blood group was A+. Surprisingly his wife’s blood group who was ready to save her husband’s life was B+ve. The doctors introduced the two families to each other and thus Devi Das’ wife Anila’s kidney was transplanted into M M Baig while M M Baig’s wife Ayesha’s kidney was transplanted into Devi Das. The two patients have been witnessing speedy recovery.
