Munger (Bihar), June 18: Bihar Police today recovered a huge cache of explosives from a quarry in Munger district.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided Jamalpur quarry and seized 400 detonators, 850 kg of ammonium nitrate, bundles of fuse wire and two pistols, DSP Md Hasnain said.
Eight tractors, one truck and a compressor drilling machine were also seized during the operation, he said.
Those involved in the illegal mining were, however, absconding, he said.
