HRWA organises ‘Cast Your Vote’ campaign

The Human Rights Welfare Association organised “Cast Your Vote” campaign here on Saturday.

An awareness programme was conducted at Nampally Taj Circle in which Deputy Commissioner of Police Kamalasan Reddy participated as the chief guest and distributed pamphlets among the public asking them to cast their vote. Speaking on the occasion, HRWA Chairman Abdul Hameed Shoukath said that due to irresponsible and opportunist politicians people lost interest in the ballot. It is the time that people should realize that by abstaining from the ballot they are weakening the democratic infrastructure of the country. He appealed all the citizens to cast their vote without any influence and in a fair manner.

Also present at this occasion was Jacob (Vice President ) Parvez ( Gen Sec) Ghazi and Nandan singh (Jt Secretaries) Sadiq (Treasure) Farooq (office Secretary), Moazam, Ilyas, Swaroopa and others.

The HRWA printed about one lakh pamphlets and many banners emphasizing the importance of Vote. Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal had released the publicity material. Thereafter, the HRWA volunteers started distributing pamphlets in the various parts of the city. (INN)
