HRC directs Chief Secretary, Home secretary and DGP to be present

It seems that the orders of Human Rights Commission have no value with State Govt. officials.

Two respectable citizens of Hyderabad, Mr. Hasanuddin Ahmed, IAS (Rtd) and former Chairman of AP Minorities Commission and Major Syed Ghouse Mohiuddin Quadri, President of “Help Hyderabad” a voluntary organization had submitted a petition to State Human Right Commission, the hearing of which was scheduled for yesterday but even today, no official of the State Govt. bothered to appear before Human Rights Commission. Chairman of Human Rights Commission, Justice Nisar Ahmed Kukroo has issued orders to Chief Secretary. Home secretary and DGP to be present in person in HRC on 3rd July with complete details.

This was disclosed by Major S.G.M. Quadri yesterday. He told that all those details which were already given to Special Chief Secretary Mr. Ajender Pal were presented to Human Rights Commission. Major Ghouse Quadri told that last week, when there was an invitation from Home Department, father of Late Syed Ghouse alias Mujju, Mr. Syed Basheer was present and he recorded his statement with Mr. Ajender Pal. Major Quadri told that HRC issued orders to the State Govt. officials to be present in the commission. HRC was informed that these officials didn’t appear before the commission for the past four weeks. HRC gave the last chance to State Govt. official to appear before the commission.

The details given to the enquiry officer were presented to HRC yesterday. In the these details, it was requested to trace out the cell phone records of the police officers who went to arrest Syed Ghouse to know with whom they were in contact at that time. By presenting these details to the enquiry officer it was stressed that how much horrified the people are with the police. Major Quadri told that police commissioner himself had clarified that some friends of Syed Ghouse told him jokingly that police is chasing him and they are coming in search of him. On hearing this, Syed Ghouse alias Mujju started escaping because of which he fell down from the wall and died.

With this clarification of the commissioner of police, it reveals that people especially the Muslim youths are very much afraid of police.

In the 9 page details presented to Mr. Ajender Pal, it has been mentioned that there are communal minded officers in intelligence and police departments who are harassing the Muslim youths continuously. He told that an independent judicial enquiry is a must in respect of such narrow minded police officers. Major Ghouse Quadri included some extracts of the report of Advocate Commissioner Mr. L. Ravichandra so that an independent enquiry could be assured. In addition to these details, CD’s of speeches inciting the sentiments of the Muslims were also presented to the enquiry officer. Enquiry officer assured that he would present all these details to HRC.
