TDP senior leader Revanth Reddy has questioned how Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram could meet Congress leaders, when he held the Congress men responsible for the suicides of Telangana students.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Revanth Reddy said the present statements of the Congress on Telangana were part of a political drama for votes. He said even the recent Telangana Sadhana Sabha was also a part of that drama.
He said the people of Telangana were ready to excommunicate the Congress. He said it was an insult to the people of Telangana that Kodandaram was waiting for an appointment of the leaders of the Congress, which was responsible for the suicides of thousand students and youngsters. He said while political parties were free to say and do anything, it was sad that the JAC which was created for achieving Telangana was favoring Congress.
Revanth Reddy charged that the JAC leaders became worse than Congress workers and were engaged in the reconstruction of the party. He said meeting Sonia Gandhi was treason against Telangana. He asked whether Prof. Kodandaram did not remember about supreme sacrifices of Srikantachary, Venugopal Reddy or other martyrs of Telangana when he took part in the dinner hosted by Congress Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy. He said Kodandaram owed an explanation on why he was trusting the Congress.
Reminding that TRS supreme KCR visited Delhi when “Sakala Janula Samme” was at its peak, Revanth said now Prof. Kodandaram went to Delhi and started meeting the Congress leaders. He said he has to explain the reasons for his meeting the Congress leaders to the people of Telangana. He said the people of Telangana would otherwise accost him. He said it was shameful that Prof. Kodandaram was waiting for appointment of Digvijay Singh, who had given permission to the Seemandhra leaders to hold meetings against State bifurcation. (NSS)
