CPI-M State secretary B.V. Raghavulu here on Thursday asked how Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy could be hailed as “Dalit Bandhu” when he could not even appoint a chairman for the SC, ST Commission so far.
Speaking to the media, Raghavulu made it clear that his party’s agitation against the steep hike in power charges would go on. The CPI-M leader lashed out at the Chief Minister for hiking power charges steeply even after he gave an assurance in the Assembly that power charges would not be hiked.
The CPI-M leader demanded that the State government conduct civic polls and hike pension for widows, disabled and old-age people. He also charged the Kiran Kumar Reddy government with shielding the liquor mafia. (NSS)
