New Delhi, February 24: Unidentified thieves struck the residences of a retired Wing Commander and a Chartered Accountant in south Delhi and decamped with their licenced pistols along with cash and jewellery, police said today.
In the first incident, thieves struck the house of retired Wing Commander Jagdish Kumar (74) in Hauz Khas on February 19 when he was away at a tennis club in Dhaula Kuan.
When he returned home at the SFS Apartments, he found the doors broke open and the house ransacked.
A .38 bore pistol of Oliver Johnson brand was stolen from the house along with cash and jewellery, a senior police official said.
In another incident reported from Vasant Kunj on February 22, a pistol was stolen from the house Chartered Accountant K K Soni (73).
