House sites for rural poor in Medak

Sangareddy, March 28: The district administration is making arrangements to provide space for housing to the rural poor, unable to find vacant place in those areas. Being nearer to the State capital has become a hurdle in providing space for housing in areas like Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram.

While ground plus two floor structures were being proposed to the poor at Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram mandals, house sites were proposed for the residents of Sangareddy at Tograpally and Aliabad villages. Similar proposals are under way at Nizampet village in Sadasivapet mandal. Proposal was made to purchase 200 acres in both these areas.

According to sources in the Revenue department, already 70 acres was acquired at Togarpally and Aliabad villages and efforts are on to get another 70 acres. The house sites allotment will be taken up once the land acquirement is completed.

Similarly, around 40 acres of land was handed over to municipal authorities to provide housing for the poor of Ameenpur and Bandlaguda.
