Telangana Government today said that Hotels, Restaurants and eateries in the state will remain open from 5 am to midnight (12 midnight).
Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy, addressing a press conference along with Telangana State Hotels and Restaurants Association President S Venkat Reddy and others, said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed to extend timings to enable the foreigners and tourists to get food of their choice at these hotels and restaurants. ‘Though we have earlier given orders to this effect, there were some incidents of arrests’, he said directing the police department to act accordingly. He asked the hotels association to provide delicacies with hygienic food and cater to the needs of people.
Narsimha Reddy also asked the association to provide Telangana food items and delicacies during week-days of statehood celebrations of Telangana from June 2. He said that GO No. 15 has already been issued on May 21 for implementation of change of timings. A related notification will be published in the extra-ordinary gazette of Telangana State, he added.(NSS)
