Hotel raided in city, two nabbed, woman rescued

Hyderabad, August 29: A hotel manager and a realtor were arrested while a woman was rescued in a raid on a hotel by the Task Force sleuths at Jubilee Hills here on Sunday.

Another person, said to be a sub-inspector of police attached with the Medak police, had fled the hotel minutes before the sleuths swooped down on the hotel, sources said.

On a tip-off that illegal activities were going on in the hotel, the Task Force Central Zone sleuths raided the Daspalla Hotel on Road No 36 in the wee hours of Sunday and found a realtor in the company of a woman in one of the rooms.

The duo, along with the hotel manager, were handed over to the local police for questioning.

“The realtor, Sanjeev Reddy of Mahaboobnagar, and the hotel’s front office manager, K Srinivas, were arrested, and the woman was rescued,” Jubilee Hills police inspector K Narsing Rao said.
According to sources, an SI of Medak police was also present in the hotel minutes before the raid was conducted.

The realtor was SI’s friend and they went to the hotel together.
“The SI got wind of the raid and fled the place,” an official said.
When contacted, Task Force Central Zone inspector Ch Y Srinivas Rao said they were not aware of the presence of the SI.
“We are looking into the matter,” he said.
