Heat wave conditions prevailed over many parts in the districts of Khammam, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda in Telangana State, according to a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department.
An IMD bulletin stated that dry weather may prevail over Telangana State in the next five days. Heat wave conditions are very likely at many places in all the districts. Manuguru, Kothagudem and Yellandu in Khammam district received rainfall. There will be appreciable rise in maximum temperatures at one or two places over Telangana. They were markedly above normal, it said today. On Saturday, highest maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhadrachalam, Khammam, Nalgonda and Nizamabad, it added. While Adilabad, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Ramagundam recorded 44 degrees Celsius, Hanamkonda and Hyderabad recorded 43 degrees and Hakimpet recorded 42 degrees. (NSS)
