Hot and humid conditions continue in Delhi

New Delhi, June 23: The city continued to sizzle under hot and humid conditions today with A maximum temperature of 44.3 degree Celsius, five notches above normal while the minimum temperature touched 32.6 degrees — the highest of the season.

The maximum was marginally higher than yesterday’s 44.1 degrees. The minimum temperature, which rose by 1.5 degrees from yesterday’s 31.1 degrees, was four degrees above normal for this time of the year.

The previous highest minimum temperature of the season was recorded at 31.8 degrees Celsius, on June 5. The humidity remained high, oscillating between 61 and 18 per centage and the combination of soaring heat and high humidity levels made conditions worse for citizens.

he Met department has forecast a mainly clear sky, with thundery development expected towards evening and night for tomorrow.

It said the maximum temperature is like to be around 44 degree Celsius while while minimum will hover around 33 degrees.
