The staff at the Nizamabad government hospital allegedly said no to admit a pregnant woman for delivery by saying that the gynaecologists were on leave.
The woman who was in intense labour pain was made to wait on a bench in the hospital verandah for hours together.
Left with no option, the relatives of the woman, Anita (30), took her to a private hospital where she delivered a boy. The boy’s condition is said to be critical and he was admitted to a children’s hospital.
