Hooligans snatch cash from pensioner

Hyderabad, September 13: Two hooligans snatched Rs 44,000 in cash from a retired government employee near the Andhra Bank at Miyapur on Saturday.
The senior citizen, S Rajesh (67), had withdrawn some money and was walking to the telephone exchange nearby when the miscreants, in pink and black shirts and riding a black motorcycle, came from behind and snatched away the bag he was carrying.

“Rajesh had taken out the money for his son,’’ the Miyapur police said.
They feel that the robbers, aged around 30, carefully followed their victim before striking, interestingly in the vicinity of the police station.
A case of theft has been registered and investigations are on.
