New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday welcomed the Justice SN Dhingra commission`s move to summon former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for questioning in connection with the Robert Vadra`s land deal case, and maintained that Hooda has behaved like a `servant` of the son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
“He was the chief minister. For Vadra, he behaved as a servant and not as a chief minister of Haryana. He (Hooda) did everything, he gave land cheap to Vadra. He (Hooda) got the titles changed, the land use changed, and Vadra sold the land to prominent companies,”Swamy told ANI.
“Vadra made a lot of money, it is called the Vadra school of management, but the dean of that school was Hooda. He has to be prosecuted under Prevention of Corruption Act,” he added.
The Justice S N Dhingra Commission of Inquiry asked Hooda to appear before it in fourth week of March and record his statements regarding the allotment of land to the Vadra promoted Skylight Hospitality company.
The Justice Dhingra Commission was set up in 2015 to probe the grant of commercial licence of land to hundreds of private companies, including Skylight Hospitality and DLF.
Last month, the commission had reportedly summoned Haryana Chief Secretary Deepinder Singh Dhesi and officials of several private firms for recording of statements.
