Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks continued their week in red on Thursday despite news of fresh US-China trade talks, tracking losses on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng index dropped 0.82 percent, or 223.53 points, to close at 27,100.06.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.66 percent, or 18.07 points, to 2,705.19, and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, ended 0.99 percent, or 14.70 points, lower to 1,467.12.
