Hong Kong stocks end week with small gains

Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks edged up on Thursday, bringing an end to a volatile week as investors head into the Easter break but with fears of a possible global trade war weighing on optimism.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.24 percent, or 70.85 points, to end at 30,093.38.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rallied 1.22 percent, or 38.24 points, to 3,160.53 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, rose 0.98 percent, or 17.73 points, to 1,830.09.
