Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks rose in early trade on Friday, recovering slightly a day after a US rout spilled into Asia.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.45 percent, or 113.24 points, to 25,379.61.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.36 percent, or 9.42 points, to 2,574.04, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 0.64 percent, or 8.33 points, to 1,285.57.
