Hyderabad, January 24: In spite of it being a chilly Sunday morning, People’s Plaza saw a rather large turnout with people from all corners of the City pouring in to support and show their solidarity towards the Proud Indians team in their walk against corruption from Kanyakumari to New Delhi. Having already covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, it was now Hyderabad’s turn to join the cause.
Despite a slow start, the walk gained momentum as time passed, and the crowd swelled up to a good 250 to 300 people, be it the old, the young, the small and the big. They are expected to reach New Delhi on April 7, 2012 which will then be declared are the Zero Corruption Day by these proud citizens.
The team said, “Through this movement we are building wishes, to acknowledge our role in corruption experienced in this country and take small steps in the direction of honesty.” Proud Indian’s, led by Abdul Mujeeb Khan, is a group of youngers who have embarked on the 4,000-km-long journey.
