In an effort to help achieve collision-free roads, Honda Motor Company is developing a car that will be able to navigate its way through traffic, pedestrians and other obstacles on its own.
The electronically-operated Accord hybrid sedan is being developed at the firm’s expansive research and development centre in Tokyo, Stuff.co.nz reported.
The company has branded the new development as co-operative autonomous driving.
The car can corner roads on its own, stop at pedestrian crossing if its on-board stereo camera sees a person about to step out on to the road.
The car also has Wi-Fi, a short-range camera and a host of LED lights that tells people inside the car about the state of the outside motoring environment. (ANI)
