Homoeopathic services in villages: Minister

Energy Minister, C Lakshma Reddy today promised to expand Homoeopathic health services across Telangana state with a focus on rural areas.
Addressing a workshop on Homeoe medicine to various diseases conducted by Telangana Homoeopathic Medical Association here, he said that the government will give priority to rural health services and implement Homoeo healthcare services. Post Bifurcation, the Centre has allotted Telangana a Homoe College and the State Government will try for another college soon, he stated.

The State Government will fill up vacant posts of Homeoe doctors and staff to give a fillip to the health services at villages, the minister said. Expressing concern over diseases and rural peoples’ lack of awareness about clean environments and hygienic conditions, he said that there is a need for expanding better health services. This is possible by entrusting the job to Homeoe care wing which should vie for offering the best health services, he noted. Since the government alone cannot address the medical needs of poor and low classes in villages, Homoeopathy can play a vital role, he remarked. The government, he said, also offered training to selected RMPs and PMPs to offer even better health services in Telangana villages.(NSS)
