Human Rights activist Organizations have been claiming that Indian bureaucracy has been promoting saffron mentality and functioning on their agenda but it has now been proved that the saffron minded officials were present the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India due to which Muslim youths were targeted.
Despite several representations, Home Ministry did not pay heed to it. Former Home Secretary, Mr. R.K. Singh joined BJP which is a proof that the claims of the Social Activist were true.
Reacting on this, Ms. Shabnam Hashmi told that in addition to Home Affairs, this effect is being clear in other departments as well. The domination of Saffron minded officials is causing a danger to the democratic setup of this country. In this country, people are still powerful. She told that the political leaders should know that during the past decade why were the Muslim youths arrested and harassed.
They were declared as terrorists and fake cases were registered against them. Ms. Hashmi told that UPA Govt. is also equally responsible for this situation. When the Govt. itself does not know who the people occupying important positions are, then what is the use of such a Govt. Several representations were made but the Govt. did not take any initiative in this direction. It only shows the lethargy of the Govt.
Mr. Suresh Khernar, reacting to it told that the people of Saffron mentality have been inducted into the Govt. for the past so many years. They have been spreading poison slowly. It is not a very surprising thing. Not only former Home Secretary, R.K.Singh joined BJP but former Army Chief also joined the party.
Mr. Khernar told that he has been telling for the past so many years that RSS and BJP have been reaping the crops for which they had planted earlier. Now the time has come that the leftist and the Secular forces should understand the evil designs of the rightist parties and get united to foil their conspiracies. In the case of labeling the Muslim youths as terrorists, Govt. is also equally responsible.
It is therefore difficult to trust both parties. RSS has now started completing its target on the basis of its earlier planning. In order to control such a situation, it is essential that the third front should be made stronger. He expressed full faith in the democratic setup of the country and told that it is in the blood of the people of this country that they should live peacefully and united.
It is therefore not possible for the higher officials to damage the secular fabric of the country but officials like Mr. R.K. Singh have opened our eyes. Now the secular parties should unite together.
