Home Minister Rajnath Singh clears the release of Sikh terrorist, What about innocent Muslims?

Home Minister Rajnath Singh clears the release of 70-year-old Sikh terrorist serving a life term in an Uttar Pradesh jail, is likely to be freed soon. Waryam Singh, who has spent 25 years in jail, is likely to be freed on grounds of good conduct.

His release was recommended by the Uttar Pradesh government, which also said in its appeal that he was over 70. Sources say the home ministry took note of the fact that in 25 years, he had never taken parole and had a spotless record.

Reacting on Govt decision many organization, demanded the release of many innocent Muslims who have been in jails from years doing nothing.

Generally, any government releases the life prisoners on the basis of their good conduct, but in case of Abdul Qadeer, why State govt is not paying attention? He completed sentence in the year 2004. He had already served 25 years in prison, but still he is languishing in jail.

With a population share of just 12 per cent in Maharashtra, Muslims make up 26 per cent of all undertrials in jails. Gujarat fares just as poorly with Muslims making 23 per cent of all undertrials in the state against a population share of just 10 per cent.

While the minority political outfits often blame police bias, and poor socio-economic condition of Muslims which make them unable to fight for justice.

Why don’t central Govt pay attention towards many innocents who are unnecessarily kept behinds the bar, who don’t have money to get a most pay lawyer to fight for them.
