Hyderabad, March 18: A Home Guard attached with the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (APPA) hanged himself to death in his house at Rajendranagar. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
The Home Guard, K Krishna (24), was a native of Shamshabad and was living at Bandlaguda. He was working with the APPA since the past seven years. According to police, Krishna was living along with a daily wage earner, Shoba, since the past one year.
Police said Shoba found Krishna hanging from the ceiling fan yesterday when she went to the house around 10 p.m. Frightened, she left the place without informing the incident to anyone but Thursday morning she alerted the police.
Rajendranagar police, who are investigating the case, said no suicide note was found.
Police are yet to ascertain the reasons for the suicide. A case under section 174 (suspicious death) has been registered and investigation is on.
