New Delhi: The railways will run special trains for Varanasi and Ahmedabad to clear extra rush during Holi festival.
The Varanasi Anand Vihar Holi special train will depart from Varanasi at 11.20 PM on March 9 and 10 to reach Anand Vihar station here at 02.20 PM the next day.
In the return direction it will depart from Anand Vihar at 7.30 PM on March 10 and 11 to reach Varanasi at 11 AM the next day.
Comprising eight sleeper class coaches, eight general class besides two second class cum luggage and brake van coaches, the train will stop at Sultanpur, Lucknow, Bareilly and Moradabad stations en route in both the directions, an official railways release said today.
The Delhi Sarai Rohilla Ahmedabad Holi special train will depart from Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 3.50 PM on March 5 to reach Ahmedabad at 7 AM the next day.
In the return direction it will depart from Ahmedabad at 4.10 PM on March 9 to reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 6.50 AM the next day.
Comprising 13 sleeper class and one general class coaches the special train will stop at Gurgaon, Rewari, Jaipur, Ajmer, AbuRoad and Palanpur stations en route in both the directions, it added.
