Holi hooliganism: Man stabbed 50 times in broad daylight for saving boy in Delhi

New Delhi: A man in mid-twenties was stabbed at least 50 times by a group of bikers on the eve of Holi in South Delhiā€™s Khanpur area on Thursday.

According to NDTV reports, the victim identified as Ashish was on his way back home from the gym when as many as 10 bikes and 20 bike-borne assailants attacked him.

The assailants were captured in the CCTV footage brandishing iron rods and knives. The group fled the spot soon attacking the locals in the vicinity.


According to the report, local said Ashish had stopped these men from hitting a teenager boy for throwing water balloons at them on Thursday morning. The men threatened him for intervening and soon, 20 other men came and attack on Ashish with rods in the evening.

Local residents rushed Ashish in a serious condition to a hospital where he is in the critical care unit (ICU).

A case has been registered against the accused youths and will be arrested soon.
