Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, President, Movement for Peace and Justice regretted that Minorities convention is being proposed to be held in the hotel which has been constructed on Wakf land. He demanded the organizers of the convention to change the venue of the meeting, otherwise it would be construed that they are supporting the illegal possession of wakf land and the hotel owner.
Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan told that holding Minorities Convention by Congress leaders is appreciable because by reviewing the issues pertaining to Minorities, effective representation could be made to the Govt.
He said that three are many places where this convention could be held. It is very surprising that the organizers selected the venue of the convention at the hotel which is illegally constructed on wakf land..
The land on which this hotel was constructed is wakf land, which is entered in the wakf register. By holding the conference in this hotel, there could be many doubts in the minds of he Muslims about the intentions of the organizers.
