Attari (Amritsar): Delegates from 45 countries to the Heart of Asia (HoA) conference today visited the Integrated Check Post (ICP) here and were apprised about India’s plan to enhance trade activities, especially with Afghanistan, through the Attari border.
The delegates were shown the entire area of ICP at the international border.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley earlier today said the choice of Amritsar as the venue for the conference was a deliberate one intended to highlight the immense potential for regional connectivity and the benefits that it can bring to land-locked Afghanistan, provided the countries concerned show the required sincerity and political determination.
