Hyderabad Chapter of Chief Executive Officers’ Club today felicitated Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited Managing Director NVS Reddy and three other officials on the remarkable success achieved and services rendered to the society by them in their respective spheres of activity.
Addressing some 150 members of the club, NVS Reddy explained about various innovations that have been done in the HMR project by giving a comprehensive picture of the project which is the world’s largest Metro Rail project in public private partnership (ppp).
Speaking on the intricacies and complexities involved in building huge infrastructure urban projects in Indian cities, he explained how innovative engineering and financial solutions helped resolving several complex issues and gained support from the people of the city. He explained as to how he handled several agitations against the project with immense patience and tact; and as to how leaders of various groups which burnt his effigy several times ultimately saw reason and signed agreements with him on the dotted lines due to his persuasive approach. He stressed on the need for vision, strategy, tact, patience and perseverance in handling challenges and explained as to how to motivate and inspire the team members especially during crisis periods, to execute tough projects. Identifying employees’ potential and empowering them with proper strategies is a key component for achieving success, he added.
Later, a panel discussion was conducted by C. Parthasarathy, Chairman, Karvy group in which NVS Reddy, Rainbow Hospitals group founder Chairman Dr K. Ramesh, Phoenix group founder and Consul General of South Korea in Hyderabad Suresh Chukkapalli and the MD of MRL Posnet Pvt Ltd Kishore Kothapalli participated. (NSS)
