Hyderabad: The TRS government was firm in taking up second phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail project on five routes in the capital city, Information Technology and Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao today said.
Replying to queries by the Opposition members in the Council on the HMR works during question hour here on Saturday, KTR said the State government was committed to complete the prestigious HMR Project at the earliest. KTR said a feasibility study was completed to expand the project in five different directions. The HMR will be expanded up to 83 km, including some stretches of Miyapur-Patancheru, LB Nagar-Hayatnagar, Nagole- LB Nagar, Tarnaka-ECIL and Rayadurgam and Shamshabad, he added.
The related works will be taken up very soon besides completing the phase I works that are almost complete, KTR said, adding that the State government was determined to complete the project avoiding further delay. (NSS)
