HMDA extends date for regularization of engineering colleges buildings

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority on Tuesday extended the last date upto May 15 for submission of applications for regularization of engineering colleges buildings.

During a meeting held on Monday by the HMDA, it was found that some of the managements of engineering colleges have already applied for regularizing the buildings and related files are in process, under the specially created Single Window Scheme. However, the managements of remaining Engineering Colleges / Technical / Managements have requested Metropolitan Commissioner for extension of time for submission of applications for regularization. Accepting their request, the HMDA has extended the time upto May 15 for submission of applications.

The HMDA has clarified that even if there is shortfall of documents and drawings, applications shall be accepted but all the remaining colleges shall compulsorily apply in the prescribed form and with prescribed initial fees to HMDA in this time period upto May 15. There would be no further extension of time, the HMDA said.

For submission of the shortfall of documents and drawings a time period till May 31 would be given. Failure to submit applications by May 15 and / or the shortfall of documents by May 3, would entail enforcement action by HMDA.

After May 15, the HMDA would write to the State Government as well as the AICTE giving a list of defaulting engineering colleges, who have not submitted their applications for regularization, for taking necessary enforcement action against the defaulting engineering colleges. (INN)
