HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) who has taken up the integration of five past masters plans a few months ago to bring uniformity in land use patterns and zoning regulations and incorporating various projects has sought permission from the municipal administration and Urban Development Department to release the draft plan.
The master plan got delayed due to mismatches of water bodies, storm water drains, proposed roads passing through settlements, village survey parcels and numbers are missing, different plans are in different plot forms.
Before taking up the task, the Authority invited suggestions from people, developers, urban planners, and stakeholders.
HMDA metropolitan commissioner T Chiranjeevulu said.”The draft master plan will soon be released after getting clearance from the state government. Citizens have been given a month to submit objections and suggestions on the draft plan for making changes and rectifications.”
In the integrated master plan, HMDA was asked by the government to incorporate and earmark some areas for major projects such as Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) and Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor.
The main feature of the integrated master plan is bringing all plans on a single platform with aid of geographical information system features. Citizens in near future would able to get land use details of a particular survey number and also check whether they get permission for a house on the click of a mouse.
