HM urged to help disabled woman to get back land

NPRD-India urged Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy to protect Epuri Jyothi, a 100 percent handicapped, by freeing encroached lands from encroachers.

Jyothi of Indlooru village under in Tipparthi mandal of Nalgonda District, has five-acre land in her name. She had all relevant documents too. But for the last 10 years, her brothers — Epuri Boyajja and Epuri Srinayya — were forcibly cultivating her land illegally. She urged her brothers to give her land back but in vain. More over, the brothers attacked her husband. Afraid of her brothers, Jyothi approached Nalgonda district court.

The Court, after examining documents, passed injunction orders and directed the officials concerned to hand over the land to her. But her brothers failed to hand over the land to her. They were also preventing her from entering the land. They were also obstructing surveyor from conducting survey. Jyothi has a daughter also. She approached the Collector, the SP, the RDO, the DSP in vain.

The NPRD members T Rajender, Pilli Anjaiah, Mahmed Munna, G Paidi urged Home Minister to intervene and do justice to victim Jyothi by providing protection to her. (NSS)
