Srinagar, August 25: A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was killed early today in an fierce gun-battle which was still underway at Mahore in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here said.
Acting on a tip-off, a troops of Rashtriya Rifles and police launched a combing and search operation in the upper reaches of Mahore early this morning, sources told UNI.
”One militant, believed to be of HM outfit, has been killed in the operation,” an official said.
Gunbattle was still underway, sources added.
