Home Minister, Nayani Narsimha Reddy today launched the website for the admission into ITIs at Secretariat here. The Home Minister said that for the first time admissions process in ITI institutions will be made online. He said that all the 38 Government ITIs and 54 Private ITIs will be centralised and it will be through online only. There are a total of 42,162 seats in ITIs comprising 8,132 Government and 33,980 Private it is the minister said. He also said that the applications for admissions can be uploaded through this website and admissions will be given online only. The candidates joined will get messages through SMS. The government has introduced different need based courses in ITIs that will cater to the demands of industries and companies and help them get employment and jobs. (NSS)
