Hyderabad, May 12: A 30-year-old auto driver jumped to death from the seventh floor of Gandhi General Hospital main building today. The deceased was depressed over his failing health, police said.
The auto driver hails from Addagutta in Secunderabad. For the past one year, he was suffering from severe illness and a medical check-up revealed that he was suffering from HIV.
With his health deteriorating from bad to worse two weeks back, his family admitted him to the Gandhi hospital on May 1.
Police said his condition started to worsen rapidly and his family also paid little attention to him driving him into a state of depression. This evening, the auto driver jumped from the seventh floor and died instantly.
