Panaji: In a brave act, a security guard of Bank of Maharashtra ATM foiled a loot attempt even after being hit multiple times with hammer by the thief in Panaji.
The incident took place few meters away from police head quarters. The security guard has been identified as Ranu Singh.
In the 40-second-long video released by news agency ANI, the unarmed guard can be seen fighting bravely and trying his best to nab the robber but failed.
A case against two unknown persons for attempt to murder and attempt to rob the ATM has been registered.
