History-sheeter shot dead

Jaipur: A alleged gangster was shot dead by another one near Kanakpura railway station in the district, police said today.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Sunil Lakhera, a history-sheeter, said SHO Kardhani, Anil Jasoria.

Last night, Lakhera had a verbal duel with the accused Kesar Singh, also a history-sheeter, police said.

The duo had a phone conversation this morning in which Lakhera asked Singh to meet him at his guest house in Kanakpura where following a brawl Singh opened fire at Lakhera who eventually died, the SHO said.

The body was sent for post mortem and a case has been registered against Kesar Singh on the complaint of the deceased’s brother.
