History-sheeter nabbed in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 01: A history-sheeter against whom several non-bailable warrants (NBWs) were pending in Karnataka state on charges of attempt to murder and house-break was nabbed here today, police said.

The Central Crime Station of Hyderabad Police apprehended Mohd Khaleelullah alias Bombay Saleem and seized one dagger, one platinum gold chain weighing about 10 tolas and one kilo ganja from his possession, Detective Department DCP J Sathyanarayana said. Bombay Saleem, a native of Bangalore along with four accused persons Ajju, Sohail, Saber and Mohammed (all four accused are absconding), has allegedly committed over 50 offences of property and bodily offences including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, robbery and house break,

since 1996 in Hyderabad and Karnataka. “So far Bombay Saleem was imprisoned about seven times including two times in Hyderabad city. Several NBW’s are pending against him in various Police Stations of Karnataka state.

He was released from jail in November last year and since then has been involved in 11 house breaking cases under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits here and one attempt to murder at Bangalore,” the DCP said. The Karnataka Police and Cyberabad Police are being informed towards taking further action against Bombay Saleem, he said.
