History-sheeter killed over property dispute

Hyderabad, January 06: A history -sheter was murdered allegedly by his relatives in full public view at Mustafa Nagar on Sunday night. Property disputes are said to be the reason for the brutal killing.

The deceased, Feroz Khan (35), was a resident of Rajendra Nagar. A history-sheet was opened against Feroz Khan in the Falaknuma police station a few years ago.

He was arrested twice in murder cases in 2001 and 2007, police said. Several other cases were also pending against him.

According to Falaknuma police, Feroz Khan and his brother had disputes over a house they owned in the locality.

Feroz Khan allegedly tried to forcibly take away the property from his brother and the matter even reached the police. Subsequently, the brothers came to a compromise but Feroz Khan reportedly started to intimidate his brother.

Unable to bear Feroz Khan’s growing harassment, his brothers’ relatives planned to eliminate him.

On Sunday night, when the history-sheeter was returning home, three persons attacked him with swords. They chased him and slit his throat near a place of worship at Mustafa Nagar. The miscreants later hit Feroz Khan with a blunt object killing him instantly.

The trio was reportedly identified as Hameed Khan, Habeed Khan and Lateef Khan.
